Ministry of Internal Affairs declared solidarity to the large-scale international campaign “Earth Hour” and turned off the lights in the building of the MIA in 38, Ramishvili Street from 20:30 pm to 21:30 pm.
By rejecting the electricity consumption for one hour the Ministry of Internal Affairs
joined the annual campaign, which is held all around the world. It is the world's largest environmental campaign aimed at environment protection, during which millions of people reject to consume electricity for one hour, expressing their support with this gesture to the planet’s green and secure future.
Campaign is aimed to inform society on the climate change, raise the awareness on the environment protection and boost civil responsibility in this direction. Georgia joined the campaign in 2009.
