Visit of the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus to MIA
On March 11, 2014 a meeting was held between Aleksandre Tchikaidze, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia and Vladimir Vashchenko, the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus.
At the meeting the Ministers signed Agreement between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus on Cooperation in the Field of Prevention and Elimination of Emergencies, which aims at strengthening bilateral partnership cooperation in the field of natural and man-made emergencies.
At the meeting Statute of Georgian-Belarussian Working Group on cooperation in the field of prevention and elimination of emergency situations was also signed. The purpose of the working group is to organize and coordinate cooperation in the mentioned fields.
On March 11, within the framework of the meeting, the delegation of the Republic of Belarus will visit Rescue Training Center of Emergency Situations Management Department and attend the opening of mountain rescue course. On March 12 the delegation will visit LEPL – Service Agency and LEPL – 112 of MIA. The delegation will leave Georgia on March 13.
