The aim of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is to ensure public order and the conduction of By-elections and Extraordinary Elections, taking place today, in free, democratic and safe environment.
We appeal everyone, to observe the law in order to maintain peaceful electoral environment, which will allow every citizen to make a choice freely.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs, within its competencies, will respond to any incident in compliance with the legislation of Georgia.Each case of breaking law will be immediately precluded.
Moreover, as we already mentioned, in order to ensure public order on place, the police forces have been already allocated across the country. This process, upon necessity, will continue during the day.
The Ministry actively cooperates with the Central Election Commission to insure that any possible incident at the district as well as on its adjacent area is precluded in timely manner.
