Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) organized a one-week training for the sexual assault investigation for investigators of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
During the course, participants were informed about issues related to the investigation of cases of sexual violence. Key areas covered during the course include interviewing a victim, collecting and processing evidence during the investigation as well as communication with medical staff during the investigation, etc.
US Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan and the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandre Darakhvelidze attended the closing ceremony and awarded certificates to the participants.
