The Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri held a meeting with the State Secretary to Minister for Justice and Migration of the Kingdom of Sweden, Lars Westbratt.
The Minister of Internal Affairs expressed his gratitude towards the State Secretary for firm and continuous support of the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden to Georgia.
At the meeting, parties discussed the successful law enforcement cooperation. Vakhtang Gomelauri highlighted the European aspirations of Georgia and the significance of the visa-free travel with the EU/Schengen countries, as well as current challenges of visa-free regime and measures undertaken in order to ensure its successful implementation.
Parties concluded the meeting with reiterating their readiness to deepen cooperation in future in the field of fight against illegal migration and law enforcement.
