Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Vakhtang Gomelauri held a meeting with the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia - Toivo Klaar.
Vakhtang Gomelauri underlined the significance of the European integration, as the key priority of the foreign policy for the Government of Georgia. Parties to the meeting addressed the current security challenges in the region and discussed enhancement of the bilateral cooperation in this regard.
The Minister of Internal Affairs paid particular importance to the significant role of the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia and the EU Monitoring Mission regarding the occupied territories.
Vakhtang Gomelauri expressed his gratitude to the EU special representative for the support to territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia.
Within the framework of the meeting, parties also discussed perspectives for deepening cooperation in the future.
