Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Vakhtang Gomelauri, held a meeting with the Head of the EU Monitoring Mission, Erik Hoeg.
Parties discussed the current situation in the adjacent villages of the occupied territories and addressed the opportunities for future cooperation.
During the meeting, the successful cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the EUMM was positively assessed.
The Minister highlighted the significant role of the EUMM nearby to the occupation line that represents the only effective international mechanism operating on the territory of Georgia.
Vakhtang Gomelauri expressed the gratitude to the Head of the Mission for his efforts to maintain peace nearby to the occupation line.
In the framework of the meeting parties discussed perspectives to further enhance the cooperation.
