Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandre Tchikaidze attended presentation on novelties of operative-on duty activities. Presentation was also attended by representatives of the dip corps accredited in Georgia.
MIA administration has moved on new standards in the field of operative-on duty activities. Reform was initiated by the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2013. As a result of the reform the level of timely reported crime has received and the latest technologies for registering crime and control maintenance was implemented as well as new computer system for collecting crime data. Novelties also include online crime map, enabling to analyze criminogenic situation from the strategic and operative point of view.
An instruction regarding on-duty activities which was adopted in 1993 has also been changed and new instruction was drafted, based on contemporary, European principles.
The above mentioned novelties are aimed at boosting the level of the fight against criminal and crime prevention. Novelties were positively evaluated by the US partners.
