The Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri, held an introductory meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Maaike Van Koldam.
The parties highlighted the productive cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries, particularly in the following areas: community oriented policing, protection of human rights, criminal justice system.
The Dutch Ambassador underlined the unwavering support of the Netherlands towards Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Ambassador expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the assistance showed to the Dutch side and to the Dutch citizens during the period of Covid-19 pandemic.
At the end of the meeting, Vakhtang Gomelauri talked about the necessity of continuing effective cooperation between the parties and the development of future cooperation plans.
