Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Vakhtang Gomelauri held an introductory meeting with the Ambassador of the State of Israel, H.E. Mr. Yuval Fuchs. Minister of Internal Affairs has introduced ongoing reforms and initiatives at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
The parties have discussed existing cooperation between Georgia and Israel in law enforcement sphere as well as future cooperation perspectives. I this regard, the parties have also discussed the Cooperation Programme established according to the agreement between Georgia and the State of Israel on cooperation in fight against crime and activities planned according to the Programme.
Mr. Gomelauri has underlined the importance of support rendered by the Israeli side in capacity building of the Ministry and pertinent role of the Police and Public Security Attach of the State of Israel.
