With the support of the Council of Europe invited experts from different European countries held a seminar on community policing. The participants were the members of the working group of the MIA on community policing and the graduates of the MIA Academy special vocational educational program for patrol inspectors.
The purpose of the three-day seminar was to provide the participants with theoretical knowledge on community policing.
Community policing is a model of policing which is predominant in developed Western countries and aims at deepening partnership between the police and communities, reducing crime and increasing perception of safety in public through preventative measures.
