The border policemen from the Operative-Investigation Main Office carried out investigative operation and detained a citizen of Georgia, Mutalim G. (DoB 1961), on the charge of bribery in Tbilisi.
Investigation established that the suspect had offered GEL 5000 bribe to the Officer from the Operative-Investigation Main Office, so that the latter would help him smuggle cattle over the State Border to the Republic of Turkey .
Investigation is ongoing on the above-mentioned fact according to the Criminal Code of Georgia, Article 339, Part II.
