The Eleventh Meeting of the State Commission Supporting Suppression of Distributing New Psychoactive Substances was held at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia. The Meeting was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs and Ministry of Finance of Georgia.
At the meeting the complex anti-drug policy conducted by the State was positively assessed. The decrease tendency was further highlighted. According to the Ministry of Finance information, in March there were no cases of smuggling new psychoactive substances across the borders.
The State Commission conducts monitoring over the situation related to new psychoactive substances in the country and over the challenges existing in this regard, as well as ensures implementation of the relevant legislation. For the purposes of conducting effective monitoring and systematic information sharing, the State Commission meets every month.
