The French frigate Gupratte made a port call in Batumi. The National marine Delegation of France delegation is led by the Commander of frigate Jacques Mallard.. The ship was greeted by the Commander of the Georgian coast Guard Temur Kvantaliani, as well as MIA Border Police Coast Guard Department Authorities and members of the Government of A/R of Adjara.
Jacques Mallard, the Commander of frigate and the Honorable Pascal Meunier, French Ambassador to Georgia will meet with the Officials from the MIA Border Police Coast Guard Department to discuss the bilateral cooperation development and planned set of exercises.
While in port of Batumi the French frigate Gupratte will conduct a first medical aid, fire-extinguishing and boarding and search and rescue exercise training with the Georgian Coast Guard.
The aim of set of exercises is to enhance interoperability between the vessels of the Coast Guard Department of the MIA Border Police of Georgia and France.
The frigate Gupratte will depart Batumi on November 26.
