Within the framework of the annual conference “Future of Migration’ – Challenges and Responses” of the Association of European Police Colleges, a meeting of the Governing Council of the Association was held. At the meeting, the members of the Governing Council elected the MIA Academy of Georgia as a permanent member of the executive committee from the following three candidate countries: Czech, Hungary and Georgia. The Vice-President of the Association of European Police College became the rector of the National University of Public Service of Hungary, Gabor Kovach. At the meeting, on the recommendation of the MIA Academy of Georgia, new members of the Association of European Police College became: The Police Educational Complex of the Republic of Armenia, Lviv State University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Kharkiv National University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The meeting of the Governing Council of the Association of European Police College was attended by around 50 representatives of the training centers of law enforcement structures of 19 countries, including 12 European Union member-states, as well as various organizations. Within the framework of the conference, the MIA Academy drew up a Memorandum of Cooperation with Lviv State University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The document was signed by rector of the MIA Academy, Givi Mikanadze and rector of Lviv State University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Roman Blahuta. The subject of the Memorandum is cooperation between the parties in the field of common interests, including organizing mutual training and educational projects, trainings and workshops; exchanging both, intellectual and technical recourses and supporting to train highly qualified personnel.
