Organized by the Emergency Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), a seminar on emergency and crisis coverage was successfully conducted for media representatives.
The two-day seminar was attended by journalists from various TV companies, news agencies, and regional media outlets.
Led by international experts, the training aimed to introduce the fundamentals of crisis communication, the role of the media, and international standards and protocols related to security, enabling participants to effectively apply this knowledge in practice.
The seminar is carried out by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), with the financial support of the European Union, as part of the project – “Support to Advancing Technical Capacities for Ensuring Human Security”.
The project, which is part of the broader initiative “EU4 Safety, Accountability, and Fight Against Crime in Georgia (SAFE)”, has been implemented in close cooperation with the International Relations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia since 2020. The primary objective of the project is to support the Government of Georgia in achieving the effectiveness and accountability of institutions in the security sector.
