The officers of Marneuli police division of Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-search and investigative activities detained O.Ts. (DoB 1993) (previously convicted in past for theft, robbery and drug-related crime) in Ponitchala for illegal purchase, possession and selling of drugs on the basis of the respective court decision.
The committed crime envisages from 5 to 14 years of imprisonment.
On the basis of the court decision, the law enforcers carried out covert purchase of drugs from the accused person and videotaped the process.
Police seized “heroin” drug in especially large quantities from O.Ts. as evidence, previously sold by the detainee.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase, possession and selling of drugs in especially large quantities, article 260, III part, sub-paragraph “A” and “D”, part V, sub-paragraph “E” of the same article of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
