The officers of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department and Zugdidi Regional Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of immediate operative-searching and investigative activities on the fact of attempted murder in aggravating circumstances detained in Poti previously convicted G.A. (DoB: 1985). The offense committed by him envisages imprisonment from 16 to 20 years in length.
The investigation established that the detainee on March 13, 2018, in Baramia str., Zugdidi, during the conflict by shooting from a firearm wounded three individuals - I.G. (DoB: 1989), B.N. (DoB: 1990) and M.P. (DoB: 1982) and consequently fled from the crime scene. The law enforcers detained the accused in a few hours after the crime.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of attempted premeditated murder under aggravating circumstances and on the fact of illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearms (part 3 of the Article 19-109 and part 3 of the Article 236 of Criminal Code of Georgia).
