The officers of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Police Department and Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested G.S. (DoB 1991) on the basis of joint operative and investigative activities and B.S. (DoB 1997) on Shuamta Street in Tbilisi as a result of a police operation.
The investigation established that B.Sh. without a driver’s license, intentionally collided with Toyota made vehicle with a police car and fled the scene with the accompanying persons - G.Sh. and M.Kh. on April 15 of the current year. The incident took place on the 39th kilometer of Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze main highway.
During the car accident, Davit Mikiashvili, Head of the Line Division under Mtskheta-Mtianeti Main Division of the Patrol Police Department, sustained health damage.
The law enforcers, as a result of the police activities, charged B.Sh. with assault on a police officer and detained him in one of the apartments on Shuamta Street Tbilisi, along with G.Sh. who is accused of non- reporting the crime.
Within the frames of the ongoing investigation, the police arrested M.Kh. on May 5 in Zugdidi on charges of non- reporting a crime.
The incident is being investigated under Articles 353 (1) and 376 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
