The Government of Georgia, as a result of intensive activities carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and various state agencies, managed to release and return to their homes Levan Kutashvili and Ioseb Pavliashvili illegally detained in occupied Akhalgori.
The First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Mr. Kakha Sabanadze and other representatives of the Government had a meeting with Levan Kutashvili and Ioseb Pavliashvili in Mtskheta-Mtianeti Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
As Kakha Sabanadze said: "Georgian citizens - Levan Kutashvili and Ioseb Pavliashvili - are released. They are already in the territory controlled by Georgia. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, along with the State Security Service and other state agencies, made its best to release these young people. "
According to the First Deputy Minister, the released citizens have no traces of torture.
The Government of Georgia is doing everything to ensure transfer of the body of Archil Tatunashvili to the territory controlled by the Central Authority of Georgia in the shortest time. According to Mr. Kakha Sabanadze, the case is initiated by two articles of the Criminal Code.
"As you are aware, the case is launched under the Articles 108 and 143 of the Criminal Code of Georgia. The investigation is in progress and we have to wait for the processes" said the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.
