As a result of a joint operation, the employees of the Migration Department and the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested 5 citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Republic of Iraq, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Turkey and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
It was established that the detained persons resided in the country without a legal basis, according to the law "On the Legal Status of Foreigners and Stateless Persons". They failed to meet deadlines set by the expulsion decision, which implies leaving the country voluntarily, as a result of which the decision was made by the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to detain the mentioned persons.
In order to enforce the decision, the detainees are currently placed in temporary accommodation center of the Migration Department with the purpose of returning them to their country of origin.
