Basketball team of MIA Academy won the game series of the semi-final with the total score 3:0 and thus defeated “Batumi” basketball team. The fate of the game was unclear till the last minutes when team improved the game which was the turning point, leading to the final success scoring 76:74.
Best results in the mentioned game were shown by Giorgi Tsintsadze, who garnered 21 points, Giorgi Sharabidze-19 points and Beka Chikviladze with 14 points.
Beginning from the next week games within the frames of the super league final will be held. “MIA Academy” team will meet “Rustavi” and “Dinamo” teams.
It is notable that 5 players of “MIA Academy” are the members of the national basketball team. Coach of the “MIA Academy” is also the assistant to the main coach of the national basketball team. “MIA Academy” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs won the Super league on May 26, 2013 and also won the Zurab Nasandelidze-Mikheil Korkia memorial tournament this year.
