Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Teimuraz Mghebrishvii and director of Emergency Situations Management Agency Zviad Katsashvili have opened new building of Fire-fighting unit located in Telavi. The opening ceremony was attended by Governor of Kakheti region and representatives of Telavi municipality.
Emergency Situations Management Department reconstructed the old three-storey building and infrastructure of the places nearby. Telavi office was equipped with all necessary technic and inventory. Training tower was also built for the fire-fighters, who also received combat uniforms.
Within the frames of the event simulation show was held during which fire-fighters demonstrated the ascend on the tower, descending the victim on a stretcher from the building with a rope, evacuation with the so called “triangle”. Guests also viewed the new building, fire-rescue equipment and renewed parking.
