The officers of the Old Tbilisi Police Division as a result of the operative-searching and investigative activities detained Tamar K. (DoB 1971 and Malkhaz B. (DoB 1966) for stealing.
Investigation established that on October 24 of the current year, Ilia Gelashvili (DoB 1977) ilegally appropriated 9 197 771 GEL from the “Bank of Georgia” located on Pushkini Street, Tbilisi. Investigation established that Tamar K. and Malkhaz B. hid the money according to previously elaborated plan.
As a result of the operative-searching aactivities Tamar K. and Malkhaz B. were detained in Tbilisi. During the searching activities held in detainees’ apartments and basements law enforcers seized substantial part of the solen cash as evidence.
At this moment operative-searching activities are held to detain Ilia gelashvili.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of stealing cash in large quantities, article 177, III part, sub-paragraph “C” and part Iv sub-paragraph “B” under the Criminal Code of Georgia
