The officers of Guria Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained R.A. (DoB1999) as a result of operative-investigative activities.
The mentioned person is accused of committing premeditated murder of a family member under aggravating circumstances as well as of illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of a firearm.
The committed crime envisages from 13 to 17 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that on January 21 of the current year, during a family conflict, the detainee inflicted several wounds with a cold steel to his father - A.F. (DoB1960) and fled from the crime scene. The incident took place at the parents' house located in the village of Natanebi, Ozurgeti Municipality. Due to the received injuries the victim died at the place of crime.
As a result of operative-investigative and search activities, the law enforcers took R.A. under arrest. Police seized a weapon of crime - knife from the scene as evidence, as well as "Nagan" pistol as a result of detainee’s personal search.
Investigation in progress on the fact of premeditated murder committed under aggravated circumstances against a family member and illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of a firearm -Article 11- 109, Part II, Subparagraph "F" and Article 236 III and IV parts of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
