The officers of Lanchkhuti District Division of Guria Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Police Department, arrested G.P. (DoB 1993) as a result of operative-investigative measures and investigative activities for inflicting serious body injury on purpose.
The committed crime envisions from 3 to 6 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that the accused person, after the conflict that started on April 20 of the current year in one of the restaurants in Lanchkhuti, wounded 4 men: I.M. (DoB 1986), G.G. (DoB 1995), L.G., (DoB 1999) and G.T. (DoB 1981) with a cold steel and fled the scene.
The wounded men were taken to the hospital. Only one of them remains in the clinic and is receiving appropriate treatment at the moment.
As a result of operative-investigative measures and investigative activities, the law enforcers arrested G.P. for wounding within hours after the incident. Police seized the weapon of crime - a knife as evidence.
The fact of inflicting serious body injury on purpose is being investigated under Article 117, Part I of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
