Minister of Internal Affairs, Giorgi Mgebrishvili arrived in Kakheti and held meeting at field operations center. Minister was informed regarding the recent situation from the Director of Emergency Situations Management Agency Nikoloz Siradze and Governor of Kakheti region, Irakli Kadagishvili. With the purpose of effective liquidation of the fire, Giorgi Mgebrishvili gave new instructions to the members of the field operations center.
After the meeting, Minister viewed places from the helicopter where intensive fire-extinguishing works are carried out at the moment.
Employees of the Emergency Situations Management Agency and National Forestry Agency continue fire-extinguishing activities in round-the-clock regime to liquidate fire in the shortest period of time. Four helicopters are also involved in operation.
