On September, Minister of Internal Affairs in connection with the fall of Sukhumi has paid tribute to the memory of the Academy cadets who fell in Abkazian war in 1992 and laid a wreath on the memorial. Along with Minister the ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Shalva Khutsishvili, leadership of the Academy, students and family members of the deceased cadets. Minister talked about the merits of the fallen cadets. Giorgi Khutsishvili had a conversation with family members of the deceased cadets and handed out gifts.
Minister of Internal Affairs along with family members of the deceased cadets viewed the photo exhibition specially made for the occasion within the frames of the event. In 1992, during the war in Abkhazia 14 cadets of the Security High School were killed in vicinities of Kolkha village.
At MIA Academy archive materials have also been exhibited depicting events that developed in 20-ies of the XX century. Archive Bulletin also presented special edition dedicated to the war in Abkhazia.
