Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Mgebrishvili has paid his first official visit to Arenian Republic.
Giorgi Mgebrishvili held meetings with the president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and Chief of Police, General-Lieutenant Vladimir Gasparyan.
At the meeting ides discussed issues of cooperation between the Georgian and Armenia law enforcement agencies and future plans.
Giorgi Mgebrishvili acquainted Armenian colleague with implemented and scheduled reforms of the Ministry and discussed the importance to further enhancement of international police cooperation. As it was pointed out at the meeting Interior Ministries of Armenia and Georgia already have memorandum of understanding concluded in the sphere of the fight against organized crime. The agreement will contribute to establish close and fruitful cooperation between Gergian and Armenian policemen.
At the meeting with The President Sargsyan, Giorgi Mgebrisvili discussed delimitation process of the Georgian-Armenian state border and expressed hope that the process will be over soon.
Within the frames of the visit, Giorgi Mgebrishvili and Vladimer Gasparyan have signed “Declaration on enhancement of the cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and Armenian Police”.
