Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Mgebrishvili met with the members of the sport club owned by the agency, who achieved major success this year and became world and Georgian champions.
Minister met with Data Kajaia, Giorgi Berdzenishvili, Alexi Davitashvili and Varlam Liparteliani and personally congratulated with winning. During the meeting recent achivements and future plans were discussed:”Crime Prevention, the safety of our citizens is one of the main conditions for the introduction and promotion of a healthy lifestyle. Therefore we always support sport activities and contribute to its development. Sport clubs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs achieved a number of successes. I am pleased that today’s heroes are the employees of the Ministry who made our country to be proud of them and became champions in various sport activities. Thank you for that, many thanks to the employees of the Ministry who became Europe and world champions and made our police officers be proud and raised national flag above others!”- stated Giorgi Mgebrishvili.
Member of the Judo sport club owned by MIA-Varlam Liparteliani won the Grand Slam in 90kg weigh category. Employee of Security Police Department Aleksi Davitashvili became the world champion, racer of MIA Force club Data Kajaia became the champion of Europe, employee of Information-analytical Department Giorgi Berdzenishvili became the world champion in Triatle and Biathle and won one gold and 2 silver medals.
After the meeting Giorgi Mgebrishvili handed out certificates of gratitude and memorable gifts to the sportsmen.
