Miinister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Mgebrishvili met with Minister of Home Affairs and National Security-doctor Michael Farrugia.
The Minister of Internal Affairs and National Security of Malta has focused on Georgia's achievements in terms of European integration and security as well. According to Dr. Michael Farrugia, it is especially pleased with the fact that Georgia received visa free regime in EU states during the presidency of Malta.
Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia introduced the recently implemented and ongoing projects in the Ministry to his counterpart.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of deepening partnership between the relevant agencies in the format of bilateral and regional cooperation.
Giorgi Mgebrishvili offered Interior Minister and National Security of Malta to create joint working group to fight organized crime. Similar working groups are already created by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia with the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Germany, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Italy, Greece and other countries.
Dr. Michael Farrugia invited the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia to Valletta and also received invitation from Mnister Mgebrishvili to visit Georgia.
