Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Mgebrishvii held meeting with the ambassador of Qatar to Georgia – Mubaraq Bin Naser Al-Khalifa.
At the meeting sides discussed prospects for developing cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Georgia and Qatar, as well as issues connected to details of memorandum on cooperation in the field of police and legal education, which is to be signed in the nearest future.
Giorgi Mgebrishvili familiarized guests with the recently implemented, ongoing and planned reforms, including criminal police reform, society-oriented policing and analyses-based police activity project.
With the ambassador of Qatar, Minister reviewed important steps planned to be implemented on the legislative and institutional level for developing international police cooperation.
According to the Minister Mgebrishvili that deployment of police attaches in 13 partner states, has brought significant results in combating against organized crime.
