Division for the Fight against Cybercrime of MIA Central Criminal Police Department has launched investigation on the case of cyber-attack perpetrated against Rustavi2 TV Company on September 19, under the article 284, I part, envisaging unauthorized access to computer system.
As a result of operative-investigative activities law enforcers managed to expose the resident of Tetritskaro E.M. (DoB 1999)- person responsible for the cyber-attack on the official web-page of Rustavi2 TV Company.
During the search activities held in his house law enforcers seized computer technic which will undergo relevant expertise.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of unauthorized access to computer system, article 284, I part of the Criminal Code, envisaging fine, corrective labor or imprisonment up to 2 years.
