Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Giorgi Mgebrishvili met with Minister of Interior of the Republic of Bulgaria Valentin Radev.
Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia introduced Bulgarianside with reforms, projects and planned innovations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
The special interest of Bulgaria's Interior Minister was focused on the high-tech and multifunctional joint operations center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and expressed desire to share the experience of Georgian side in this direction.
The sides discussed the development of cooperation in the Border Security Issues between the two countries and discussed the priorities of deepening cooperation in regional formats.
Giorgi Mgebrishvili proposed the creation of a joint working group for the fight against organized crime with Bulgaria. Ministry of Internal Affairs has already created working groups with the law enforcement bodies of 11 EU member states.
At the meeting, Valentin Radev emphasized that Bulgaria continues Georgia's strong support for European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
Minister of Internal Affairs of Bulgaria invited the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia to Sofia and also received invitation to visit Tbilisi.
