Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Mgebrishvili attended special ceremony dedicated to the Georgian serviceman who fell heroically in Afghanistan.
Body of the First Class Private Vasil Kuljanishvili who served in the 43rd Battalion of IV Mechanized Brigade of the Georgian Armed Forces was transferred to Georgia by the United States Air Force Plane from Bagram aviation base to Tbilisi International Airport.
The ceremony was attended by the President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili, Minister of Defence Tinatin Khidasheli, Chief of General Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces, Major General Vakhtang Kapanadze, US Ambassador to Georgia Ian C. Kelly, head of NATO Liaison Office William Lahue, NATO military representative Colonel Maximilian Eder, foreign military attaches accredited in Georgia and family members of the deceased soldier.
