The Minister of Internal Affairs and the Secretary of the National Security Council of Georgia Mr. Giorgi Gakharia held a meeting with the delegation of the Secretariat-General for National Defense and Security of France, led by Lieutenant General Francois-Xavier Le pelletier de woillemont, the Deputy Secretary General.
At the meeting, the parties discussed common security challenges and threats in Georgia and the world as a whole, including cybercrime and security issues in the Black Sea basin area.
Minister of Internal Affairs and Deputy Secretary General have agreed on deepening further bilateral cooperation. At the meeting, Giorgi Gakharia has provided the information on the concept, goals and main challenges of the newly established National Security Council of Georgia.
The French colleagues shared their experience and expertise. At the end of the meeting, Giorgi Gakharia thanked the French partners for their support.
