One of the fire-rescuers of Fire-Rescue Forces Department, Poti Division under Emergency Situations Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has tested positive for COVID-19 disease.
He underwent regular testing for the disease on September 4 and according to the received result, he tested positive for Novel Coronavirus disease. Prior to the mentioned fact, the person underwent a scheduled check-up 2 weeks earlier and test results were negative.
Fire-rescuer was fulfilling his official duties on September 6. Therefore, part of the personnel, who worked on the mentioned date have been placed under the medical observation and underwent testing. The building has also undergone complete disinfection.
Epidemiologists conduct special activities for source identification and search for other contacts. The firefighter-rescuer is feeling well, with no clinical signs of the virus. He has been transferred to Poti hospital.
