The officers of Khelvachauri Regional Division of Adjara Police Departyment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a result of immediate operative-search and investigative activities detained in Batumi currently on probation period for robbery T.KH. (DoB: 1999).
The crime committed envisages from 3 to 7 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that in Batumi on August 20-21 of the current year the accused in highway of St. Andrew the First-Called damaged the windshields of 6 cars belonging to citizens, thus penetrated into the cars and illegally appropriated various personal belongings.
Law enforcers managed to detain T.Kh. in several hours after the crime took place. As a result of search conducted in the accused's temporary residence in Batumi, the Police seized stolen items as evidence.
Also, the detainee confessed to the robbery of eight more cars committed by him in Tbilisi this month.
Investigation is in progress under the sub-clause “a” and “b” of the part 2 of the Article 177 and sub-clause “b” of the part 3 of the same article of the Criminal Code of Georgia (illegal entering the premises or any other storage facility repeatedly that has resulted in considerable damage ).
