In connection with the beginning of the academic year, Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Mgebrishvili, escorted the first-grader son of the late police officer- Zurab Zoidze to school for the first time.
Deputy Head of the N1 division of MIA Border Police- Zurab Zoidze died in the line of duty on December 15, 2009. He was married and had 2 year old daughter Mariam. After the sustained tragedy his son was born on August 2010, who was named after his father. After the death of the spouse, Maia Fertenadze started to work at N1 division of MIA Border Police.
Under the initiative of Giorgi Mgebrishvili, it has been established as a tradition for the Minister of Internal Affairs and heads of various MIA departments to escort the children of late police officers to school. Minister presented the first-grader with gifts and congratulated him with the beginning of the academic year.
