TAIEX Workshop on Development of Early Warning System (EWS) in Georgia was held at Ambassador Hotel located in Tbilisi. The workshop was opened by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Merab Malania with the welcoming speech.
“One of the main objectives of the state in the effective management of emergency situations and the main instrument of risk reduction, is the development of early warning system,which can reduce the number of victims and prevent human, financial and material losses caused by emergency situations. Such workshops allow us to discuss the achievements of our partner states in the field of civil security and share their successful experience "-stated Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Merab Malania.
The workshop along the MIA representatives was also attended by French, Polish and Austrian experts.
The workshop was held with the financial support of Technical Assistance and Information Exchange instrument of the European Commission (TAIEX).
