The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Aleksandre Darakhvelidze, hosted the State Secretary for Asylum and Migration of the Kingdom of Belgium, Nicole de Moor and the members of the delegation, who are conducting official visit to Georgia, at the Migration Department.
Within the frames of the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Aleksandre Darakhvelidze and the Director of the Migration Department, Mikheil Chikvaidze provided the guests detailed information on the activities of the department, existing standards and achieved progress in the field of fight against irregular migration, as well as international protection.
Belgian State Secretary, Nicole de Moor and the members of the delegation visited the Temporary Accommodation Center for irregular migrants and received information on the conditions of the Center and the provided services.
Within the frames of the official visit, State Secretary for Asylum and Migration of the Kingdom of Belgium, together with the members of the delegation visited Tbilisi International Airport. The delegation was hosted by the Deputy Director of the Patrol Police Department, Guram Davitashvili.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the amendments to the Law of Georgia on ‘Rules for Georgian citizens on Leaving and Entering Georgia’, so-called ‘exit-control’, activities of the BCP, as well as the prospects of the future cooperation.
The guests had the opportunity to see the infrastructure of the Tbilisi International Airport and the work of the immigration border-controllers, as well as the activities of K9 service.
