The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Aleksandre Darakhvelidze, met with the Personal Representatives of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office on the Tolerance and Non-Discrimination, Regina Polak, Andrew Baker and Ismail Hakki Musa, paying an official visit to Georgia.
Representatives of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), Tatjana Peric and Mikołaj Wrzecionkowski, as well as, Special Advisor of the Polish OSCE Chairmanship, Ewa Sapiezynska, also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the Deputy Minister talked about the implemented and ongoing reforms within the Ministry to ensure proper and effective anti-discriminatory policy.
The purpose of the visit of the Personal Representatives of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office on Tolerance and Non-Discrimination is to assess the best practices and challenges with regard to the promoting tolerance and combating discrimination in the country.
At the end of the meeting, Aleksandre Darakhvelidze expressed his gratitude towards the Personal Representatives of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office on Tolerance and Non-Discrimination and noted that cooperation with the OSCE institutions represents an important priority for Georgia.
