Emergency Response Center 112 has hosted the ambassador of Sweden to Georgia Martina Quick.
Guest received detailed information on projects implemented and planned by the center.
The visit was aimed at implementing campaign initiated by 112, with the help of the diplomatic corps, to raise awareness on 112 services among non-resident population of the country.
According to the research held in 2014 under the initiative of 112 problematic segments were defined, which included non-rezidents. In particular 76% of the tourists are not informed that the emergency number 112 is operational in Georgia.
In order to eradicate the mentioned person 112 held a number of informative campaigns. The project will continue with the support of the diplomatic corps from now on which will contribute to enhancing the project.
Various activities have been planned in the framework of the visit, which will boost awareness of tourists on 112 services.
Besides Swedish embassy other embassies will also be involved. Work visits will be held in September.
