Under the initiative of the Minister of Internal Affairs law on civil security has undergone changes based on which up to 3500 employees of Emergency Situations Agency received special ranks and imposed bonuses according to their length of service and police ranks. Their social security status and pension guarantees have become equal to policemen’s.
Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Mgebrishvili visited Emergency Situations Management Agency and congratulated rescuers and fire-fighters upon receiving police special ranks.
“I’m glad to make this decision which I think will raise your motivation even more. Despite the fact that none of the award or encouragement can assess difficulties of your work, it is our duty to improve your work conditions to fight with obstacles more effectively. You are always there, where our citizens need help. Therefore, your work conditions must be comfortable, that’s why we provide material-technical base and security for you. With this aim we purchased new work equipment which will be delivered to all rescuers across the country. Our goal is to make such changes on the regular basis.”-state Minister of Internal Affairs.
Giorgi Mgebrishvili awarded 25 rescuers with certificates of appreciation.
At the end of the event Minister got familiarized with the new equipment which will be handed out to fire fighters and rescuers.
