In connection with the upcoming winter tourist season the risk of injuries and necessity of first aid have increased in winter resorts. Therefore, in order to assist tourists and citizens more effectively, on December 28, 2013 director of “112” Giorgi Bitchashvili and director for the development agency of Gudauri-Aleksandre Onoprishvili have signed memorandum of understanding.
Aim of memorandum is to provide duly first aid in emergency situations.
112 is the first receiver and responder to the emergency calls countrywide, while agency has a capacity to deploy independent group in case of emergencies, which will make it possible to respond quickly and effectively. In order to implement new system coordinated activities from the both sides are important.
“112” has installed informative banners in Gudauri and Bakuriani as a result of which citizens will remember that from now on they will have to call only on a single emergency number in case of needing to connect with patrol police, fire-rescue team or ambulance crew.
At the first stage “112” has installed informative banners in winter resorts, namely in Gudauri and Bakuriani. After the initial phase is over “112” plans to install analogical banners in sea resorts of the country.
