The officers of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department and the employees of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Main Division of the Patrol Police Department as a result of intensive operative and investigative activities on the fact of largescale robbery detained in Tbilisi previously multiply convicted K. Ch. (DoB: 1966). The crime committed envisages imprisonment from 7 to 11 years in length.
The investigation established that on May 2, 2018, in Zugdidi, the offender stole gold jewelry worth 55 460 GEL from the Golden Market and managed to escape from the scene.
The law enforcers detained K.Ch. in Tbilisi in several days after the incident. The stolen items were seized by police as material evidences.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of robbery in large quantities (sub-clause “b”, part IV of the Article 178 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
