The officers of Ozurgeti Regional Division of Guria Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities on the basis of judge`s decision detained two individuals – G.Z. (DoB: 1993) and Z.S. (DoB: 1991) - on the fact of robbery in Ozurgeti.
The investigation established that on April 29 of the current year the offenders illegally penetrated the house of one of the residents of the village Tskemliskidi, Ozurgeti district, and stole from the house TV, electric saw and water pump. G.Z. and Z.S. also hijacked “OPEL” car belonging to the same citizen. The offenders managed to escape from the scene by the mentioned vehicle.
As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities the law enforcers found a car on the second day in a neighboring village. In several days after the incident the police seized other stolen items as material evidences.
The investigation also established that one of the detainees - G.Z. was exposed for the fact which took place in the village Shemokmedi on February 11, 2018, when the explosion of a grenade thrown by him damaged the shop and the owner suffered the damage in the amount of approximately 4000 GEL.
The both detainees have pleaded guilty.
The investigation is in progress under the sub-clauses “a” and “b” of the II parts and sub-clauses “a”, “b” and “c” of the III part of the Article 177 of the Criminal Code of Georgia - the theft committed by illegally entering the premises with a prior agreement by a group that has resulted in considerable damage
