The Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri, along with his deputy - Ioseb Chelidze, held a meeting with the leadership of the Special Tasks Department.
The director of the Special Tasks Department - Zviad Kharazishvili attended the meeting.
During the working meeting the parties outlined the implemented and ongoing infrastructure projects in the Special Tasks Department, in order to further improve the working conditions of the employees.
Currently, the construction of the base of the Special Tasks Department in the village of Krtsanisi, Gardabani municipality, which includes barracks, a cafeteria, a gym, a check-in point, and a parking garage as well as other necessary infrastructure, is in progress.
Herewith, in Kutaisi, the construction works of the appropriate base for the deployment of the Special Tasks Department are underway, while in Tbilisi, the construction of a four-story barracks and the renovation works of the surrounding area are underway.
The construction of sandwich panel buildings for the Department of Special Tasks, including barracks, office and warehouse buildings, and a cafeteria, the total cost of which is more than 17 million GEL, is underway throughout Georgia.
The process of infrastructure development will continue and the construction of the base of Telavi and Rustavi special tasks department is already scheduled to be implemented.
Vakhtang Gomelauri expressed gratitude to the employees of the department for their work.
