Minister of the Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri held meeting with the representatives of the Monitoring Committee of Council of Europe’s Parliamentary Assembly having official visit in Georgia.
During the meeting, parties have discussed recent developments across the occupation line, as well as 2020 parliamentary elections and the role of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in ensuring the secured environment.
Furthermore, the Minister informed the delegates about planned and ongoing reforms in the various fields of the Ministry’s activities.
In the framework of the visit, the delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly holds meetings with representatives of legislative and executive branches of Georgia.
