Investigators and detectives certified in juvenile justice, who will be employed in specialized division focusing on juvenile crimes under Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, are currently undergoing online training course for boosting qualification in investigating juvenile crime or crimes committed against them.
Upper mentioned online training course will last for four days and cover the topics such as: psycho-social aspects of child development, psychological portrait of child victim of child witness, specifics of communication with children, specifics of juvenile interrogation, secondary and repeated victimization, basic principles of juvenile justice, practical exercises and etc.
The course is implemented within the frames of EU-led project- “Support of the Juveniles and Adults deprived of their liberties”.
Implementation of the mentioned project was launched in 2019 and will last till 2021. The aim of the project is to promote standards of protecting rights of juveniles, persons deprived of their liberties and fight against ill-treatment, through capacity building of the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
